I see more big brands partnering together now more than ever. But this one? Really? Orange Juice and Lilly Pulitzer? Yes, there’s the Florida connection and the bright colors. But really?
Here’s a case of one brand that has a very narrow niche market – Lilly Pulitzer. While the other, Florida’s Natural is targeted to every single mom. Yes – there’s a connection - females. However I just don’t like it. Lilly is an upscale brand, it has an image to protect. But now thanks to Florida’s Natural every person that buys this “limited edition paper carton” (that will end up in the recycle bin) will think to themselves “nice carton.”
Will it really help her brand awareness? Really?

Well, this sure beats photos of missing children.
Lilly Pulitzer, the preppy fashion line born and raised in Palm Beach, is partnering with and Florida’s Natural Juice to create one million limited-edition Lilly-print Florida’s Natural juice cartons. They’ll be distributed throughout the country this week.
It’s just one of several promotions marking Lilly’s 50th anniversary. Not quite sure what you do with the carton, once the juice is all drunk. But this is heart-healthy: A portion of the carton’s proceeds will benefit www.breastcancer.org, a Web-based non-profit dedicated to providing support and detailed health information to breast cancer patients and their families.
Citrus juice and Lilly Pulitzer go back 50 years, to the days when Lilly, a.k.a. “The Barefoot Princess,” ran a little juice stand in Palm Beach. To keep her cool — and hide juice stains — she had her seamstress run up a bunch of these little shift dresses in multicolored prints. Pretty soon, demand for her dresses outpaced demand for juice — and the Lilly line was born.
I interviewed Lilly in her plant-filled Palm Beach mansion many years ago. She was charming, funny, outspoken — and still barefoot. She has many, many fans, all with special memories of their Lilly garb, or of Lilly herself. If you’re one of them, do share your “Lilly bits.”

Hi there! Just wanted to chime in on the above post! There is actually a deeper connection between Lilly Pulitzer and Florida’s Natural. Lilly started her business with an orange juice stand in south Florida, harvesting from some of Florida’s Natrual’s original groves. The carton tells the whole story! In an age where every fashion designer is partnering with every brand they can think of…. this collaboration has true relevance. Beyond this, every carton sold supports breastcancer.org, a very worthy cause. Cheers!
